Modern stairs come in various designs, characterized by their design, materials, and construction.
Floating staircase:
This type of staircase is particularly minimalist and elegant, as it does not have a visible substructure. The steps appear to be 'floating' and are attached to the wall.
Spiral staircase:
A space-saving staircase that rotates in a spiral around a central axis. It often appears very modern and sculptural.
Bolt staircase:
In this design, the steps are attached to the wall only with bolts. The open construction gives the staircase a light, transparent design.
Folded staircase:
This staircase looks like a folded piece of material, where the steps and risers are made as a single piece. It appears modern and geometric.
Beam staircase:
In this design, the steps are attached to one or two supporting stringers (also called beams).
Spindle staircase:
A subtype of the spiral staircase that rotates around a central column. It is particularly space-saving and is often combined with metal or glass in modern designs.
Landing staircase:
This staircase has one or more intermediate landings, which are particularly used for longer flights of stairs or for distinctive architecture.
Concrete staircase:
Numerous variations with wooden coverings can be realized here.
Stringer staircase:
Whether the classic version with a side stringer on the steps or as a handrail-height version, there are no limits here.
